Mission
The Senior DevOps engineer is part of the Valeo Service Smart Service Center and will be responsible for DevOps activities for building and maintaining websites, mobiles apps and back end applications.
The candidate will collaborate with other developers working in an Agile environment to implement Valeo Service Digital Strategy.
As a Senior-level position, youre expected to collaboratively work with your team on projects delivery that includes solution architecture, cloud infrastructure, documentation, monitoring and alerts, applying CICD and cybersecurity best practices in addition to supporting developers with needed tools and practices to make their work more efficient and secure.
The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of DevOps roles & responsibilities, as well as CICD standards, and will ensure operational stability and security, adhering to industry standards.
A good communication skills and collaboration with a team is a must to be able to succeed in the team.

Responsibilities
As a senior technical position, specialised in DevOps you would:
Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS & GCP in addition to CICD tools and practices required for projects delivery and maintenance.
Contribute in designing and building cloud architecture schemes collaboratively with products team.
Encourage continuous monitoring culture in the team and configure alerting tools for ensuring operational excellence and high reliability.
Contribute effectively in the continuous improvement to company products and work environment by submitting proposals and initiatives whenever possible.
Design and build automation solutions for continuous development, testing and release workflows.
Act upon alerts/logs on infrastructure layer (security, performance, scalability, reliability, cost)
Optimise performance and cost of provisioned resources on cloud.
Monitor the CI/CD running activities on production to ensure functional correctness.
Identify weaknesses in the environments or streamline workflows and propose corrective solutions.
Raise flag upon any production down incidents and take needed actions when applicable.
Ensure CICD compliance according to company security policies.
Implement security best practices and data access policies to prevent any risk of data leakage.
Respond to issues through ticketing systems and provide end to end resolution within defined SLA.
Report set of defined KPIs to assess the platform health and the service level.
Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of production systems.
System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.
Evaluation of new technology alternatives and products that can contribute to the team's success and effectiveness.
Education/Training
Bachelor or Masters degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field
Professional Experience
The candidates should have 3+ years of experience, with most of these qualities:
Experience as a DevOps Engineer.
Excellent knowledge with hands-on experience in:
Linux Systems.
Cloud Service Providers (both AWS & GCP).
IaC (Terraform).
Serverless Frameworks (preferred SAM).
Systems Metrics, logging, and monitoring (preferred tack is: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, AWS CloudWatch and GCP Cloud Monitoring).
Running testing automation and generating reports.
Jenkins Pipelines (or similar) for both Web and Mobile Apps.
Docker technologies including docker compose framework.
Different types of database (MYSQL, Postgres, NoSQL, Dynamodb) management, monitoring and backup strategies.
Managing Git servers and Git workflows.
Backup strategies and restore techniques for different types of storage on cloud systems such as RDS, Dyanamodb, Buckets, EFS, etc.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Excellent knowledge of Agile principles.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work transversely across multiple software products.
Good knowledge and experience on one scripting language and one programming language at least (preferred NodeJS and shell scripting).
DevOps Professional certificate or Solution Architect certificate is a plus.
